Delete your BuD account
You can delete your BuD account and all the data we hold about you at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1: in the app (fastest)
- Open BuD and tap Profile.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Everything is erased immediately: your profile and photos, check-ins, winks, matches, notes, notifications, blocks and any venue applications. You will be signed out.
Option 2: without the app
If you can no longer open the app, email tahire29@gmail.com with the subject Delete my BuD account and the phone number you signed up with. To protect you from someone else asking, we may send a one-time code to that number before deleting. We complete requests within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted: your account, phone number, profile, photos, activity, notes, notifications, blocks and venue applications.
- Kept: venues you added stay on the map without any link to you. Safety reports about misconduct may be kept for as long as needed to protect people or to meet a legal obligation. Copies in our hosting provider's technical backups are overwritten on a short rolling schedule.

In the app go to Profile → Settings → Download my data. Or email us and we will send you an export.
